I DREAMED

Author: Debonair

I dreamed about blue skies above
And candy white clouds drifting by,
Green meadows and the greenest hills
And rivers that never will run dry.

I dreamed about the greenest eyes
And lovely lips which were so red,
I dreamed of long blond hair so bright
Flowing in waves from her head.

Her smile lightened up the heavens,
Starting at her mouth and then her eyes,
Brings back memories of the morning star,
Which lightens up the darkest skies.

Around her was a fragrance soft,
Perfume, distinctive and yet delicate.
The love I have for this lovely lady
Was hopeless and so desperate.

Her promise still rang in my ears,
If ever you need me or you hurt,I
will visit you and watch over you,
In the form of a little bird.

It was with a shock that I woke up,
In my heart there was still the hurt.
I opened up the curtains wide
And on the window sill, a little bird.
